You already have the paperwork for your products. TrueGuard: Product Safety Info reads supplier PDFs and label photos, drafts the manufacturer, EU responsible-person (if your documents name one) and safety-warning details, and shows what you approve on the product page. AI-suggested. Merchant approved. Free at launch.

The app is not yet available to install. It is planned for the Shopify App Store.

How it works

1 · Upload
Attach a supplier PDF or label photo to one product, or to the products whose SKUs share a prefix (up to 50; products that already have a record are skipped).
2 · Review
The AI drafts each field and, for the manufacturer's name and address, shows the quote it used. You check every field and edit what is wrong.
3 · Approve
Nothing reaches the product page until you approve. Each approval is recorded in a log the app never edits: who, when, which document.
4 · Show
Approved details appear in a block on the product page on Online Store 2.0 themes.

Before
Manufacturer and responsible-person details sit in supplier PDFs and email threads, and nobody can see at a glance which products are missing them.
After
One catalog table shows each product's status, and approved details are visible on the product page. The safety warning appears in the shopper's language when your documents include one in that language, otherwise the first available warning is shown.

Also in the app

  • Eco-wording flags. For products with a record, common English eco phrases such as "eco-friendly" are flagged for you to review. The app never rewrites your copy.
  • Customs suggestions. The app suggests a US HTS code and country of origin with its reasoning. Nothing is applied until you click, and it is applied to the product's first variant only.

What it does not do

TrueGuard does not give legal advice and does not guarantee that any product meets any regulation. It does not act as an EU responsible person or an EPR provider, and it does not rewrite your product copy. Panel labels are in English and warnings are not translated. The product-page block needs an Online Store 2.0 theme and is added once to your product template; the review and approval flow works on any theme.
